How would you describe your teaching style in three words?

Powerful - Motivating -Transformative

How do you help students overcome challenges in their practice?

  • By meeting them where they are at on the mat for that day. Everyday is different and it's important to me to recognize each student's pace. Some days are a struggle, some are invigorating. Wherever they're at, I can meet them there and guide each student in their personal yoga journey. I project calm assertive energy and I want them to push themselves.

What do you hope students take away from your classes?

  • I would like their takeaway to know that showing up is enough, inspired to return with a sense of comfort to come to a judgement-free zone to do their best and evolve their practice. I think feeling comfortable allows one to push forward and progress.

What’s your favorite song or playlist for a yoga session, and why?

  • "Shine" by Stick Figure is one of my favorite songs to play during practice, "Breath" by Stick Figure and lots of instrumental surf tunes by the Ventures. These songs create a vibe of positivity and forward momentum.

A favorite quote or mantra that inspires you?

“May the light within me be a reflection of the light within you".

  • Oftentimes a full class of students moves and breathes like one entity, everyone is feeding off each other's energy and there is a feeling of pure stoke in the room.
