Alana Bray

How would you describe your teaching style?

To connect to the different layers of us in our presence through yoga.

How do you help students overcome challenges in their practice?

  • I teach a physically, mentally and spiritually challenging class and I ask the student to be curious and objective each moment and notice the quality of attention in challenging moments of the practice.

What do you hope students take away from your classes?

  • I want them to feel that no matter how they felt before the class they have made contact with the inner strength that we all intrinsically have. Empowering the students to tap into their spirit that got them here, trust their strength and grow their intuition. Yoga is understanding you have everything you need in any moment to be resilient, grow a belief system that moves you forward through what you bring to the present moment. Every person has God inside them and I’m hoping that after an hour of mind body awareness, movement, breath and discernment they can connect to how powerful of a light they are when class is over.

What’s your favorite song or playlist for a yoga session, and why?

  • Every class has a different playlist from medicine music to house to mantra we play with it all.

A favorite quote or mantra that inspires you?

“Everything always works out for me”
