How would you describe your teaching style in three words?

Intentional - Empowering - Uplifting

How do you help students overcome challenges in their practice?

  • I guide my students through challenges by creating a space where growth feels possible, not pressured. Through mindful cues, encouragement, and the right balance of effort and ease, I help them push past limits while honoring where they are. I remind them that progress isn’t about perfection—it’s about showing up, breathing through the tough moments, and realizing they are capable of more than they think. The best part? Seeing that "I just did that!" look on their faces when they realize they’re capable of more than they ever imagined.

What do you hope students take away from your classes?

  • I hope my students leave class feeling stronger than they thought they were, more confident in their abilities, and empowered to take on challenges—on and off the mat. I want them to realize that no obstacle is too big when approached one breath, one transition at a time. Just when they think they can’t, I guide them to discover that they absolutely can. And that moment—the “I just did that!” realization—is what it’s all about.

What’s your favorite song or playlist for a yoga session, and why?

  • Music isn’t just something I listen to—it’s the rhythm of my life, it’s woven into my soul, an auditory journal of my journey.  I grew up in a home where sound was alive… It wasn’t unusual to walk through the door after school and find my stepdad’s band tearing through a Lynyrd Skynyrd solo, rolling through the bluesy depths of Clapton, or channeling the raw energy of the Stones. Those sounds shaped me. I found beauty in how a single riff could hold power and grace, how lyrics could cut deep or lift you higher. My playlists are more than just songs—they are memories, emotions, and moments in time, reflecting who I am and where I’ve been.

My favorite song to flow to is "I Am the Highway" by Audioslave—it carries me, grounds me, and fuels my movement. But when I teach, it's "Benedictus" by 2Cellos that stirs something deeper. That song doesn’t just play in the background—it moves through me, setting the tone, creating space, and elevating the energy in the room.
