How do you help students overcome challenges in their practice?
I throughly enjoy blending traditional and non-traditional practices, I believe that yoga is not just about postures but about the journey within. My approach weaves together the classical foundations of yoga with innovative techniques, allowing for both stretching and strengthening of the body using its own resistance.
In my classes, we focus on more than just the physical. I encourage my students to tune into their inner alignment and be present in the moment. I understand that the challenges we face on the mat often mirror those in life, and it is through these obstacles that we discover our true potential for growth and transformation.
What do you hope students take away from your classes?
My philosophy is rooted in the belief that every student is unique, and my mission is to create a nurturing environment where individuals can explore their limits and expand their horizons. As a teacher, I hope to foster a sense of wholeness and connection, leaving my students with an enriched experience that resonates long after our practice together.
What’s your favorite song or playlist for a yoga session, and why?
Music plays a vital role in setting the tone for my classes. I curate playlists filled with songs that possess deep meanings, intricate musicality, and a mix of soft yet intense beats. Each track is chosen to enhance your experience, guiding you further into your practice.
A favorite quote or mantra that inspires you?
One of my favorite quotes,
“Your excuses paralyze you; your change propels you,”
encapsulates my teaching philosophy. I wholeheartedly believe that by embracing change, we unlock the potential for incredible transformation.
